Like the rest of MIT, our brothers take academic pursuits very seriously. In fact, our GPA currently ranks among the top of MIT's living groups. Our majors span most of the Institute's offerings--from Aerospace and Electrical Engineering to Brain and Cognitive Science and Political Science.
We benefit from a very solid academic support network. It is normal to see brothers working together at all hours. Similarly, it is not uncommon for older brothers to TA freshman courses and help those enrolled in the course. We also maintain a large library of academic materials (textbooks, study guides, etc.) and a number of public computers (including an Athena workstation) for any brother's use.
We believe learning outside of the classroom is extremely important: almost all of our brothers are actively involved in research and/or internships during their time here. A partial list of recent members' internships is below. In addition to internships at US companies, some brothers pursue summer and term opportunities to study and work abroad. In recent years, brothers have traveled through MISTI and CME to Spain, Brazil, Israel, and England.
We like to party at Zeta Psi. Our marquis event is called AllZete, when Zeta Psi brothers from across the continent descend on our house for a crazy weekend highlighted by one of MIT's biggest parties. We always play the newest music, ranging from hip hop to techno, rock and house. Our annual Eurotrash party always draws good crowds. And even just on random nights, we have fun.
Late in the fall, we host our first formal in our own commons. We may be dressed up, but we definitely have a good time. In the spring, we've hosted our annual alumni event at locations such as Le Meridien and, most recently, the Hyatt. It's always great to see alumni bring their young kids back to the house where they once lived. Counting brothers and dates, Zeta Psi formals can have over 150 guests.
Mixers / Other Events
Over the last few years, we've hosted mixers with numerous MIT, BU, and Wellesley sororities and organizations. If you're interested in setting up an event, please contact us!
